This program is made possible through a partnership with <a href="https://lawfoundation.on.ca/" title="The Law Foundation of Ontario (the Foundation)" target="_blank" rel="">The Law Foundation of Ontario (the Foundation)</a>.</div></div><p style="text-align:left;"></p><div><div></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;">With an investment of $1 million from the Foundation, this program supports Indigenous-led efforts to strengthen access to justice and advance Indigenous rights, laws, and voices. The program was designed following a series of community-led focus groups held from August to November 2024, where IPRF and the Foundation listened to stories and learned about the communities’ access to justice experiences. The learnings from those sessions have shaped a program that centres community knowledge and priorities.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;">This Bundle Program provides funding to Indigenous organizations that are working to remove barriers, and to respond to their justice-related needs. <div data-element-id="elm_MtjTAoT85ma9qoTCFHtg6w" data-element-type="text" class="zpelement zpelem-text "><style></style><div class="zptext zptext-align-left zptext-align-mobile-left zptext-align-tablet-left " data-editor="true"><p><span><span></span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:14pt;"><span>Members of the Advisory Council carry responsibilities that include:</span></p><ul><li><p><span style="font-weight:700;">Governance:</span><span>&nbsp;Offer insight and direction that aligns with the teachings, values, and priorities of the communities we serve.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-weight:700;">Advocacy:</span><span>&nbsp;Champion the community-led work that IPRF supports within your networks and communities.</span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom:14pt;"><span style="font-weight:700;">Commitment:</span><span>&nbsp;Attend quarterly board meetings and participate in sub-committees as needed. Council members serve a three-year term, with the option of renewing for a second term. The time commitment averages 2-6 hours per month, depending on the time of year.</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:14pt;"><span>This is a volunteer position, ideal for those who feel called to give back to the communities we serve in a meaningful way. While most meetings are held remotely, occasional travel may be required for in-person gatherings. When travel is necessary, the IPRF will cover all related expenses.</span></p><p></p></div>
